Solutions - For Parents
This 8-part series is for parents who are concerned about what is happening in America's schools—and are wondering, “What can I do about it?”
You'll hear from three mothers who became parent activists, along with my own experience getting involved in local school board meetings. None of us started out as experts. We were simply parents who saw things that concerned us and decided to speak up.
Throughout the course, you'll learn practical ways to:
- Find and work with other like-minded parents
- Speak up effectively at school board meetings
- Research issues and help educate your community
- Prepare your children to recognize ideological messaging
- Create positive alternatives and support other families
- Find the courage to get involved—even when doing so is uncomfortable
Most importantly, you'll see that you don't have to do everything to make a difference. You simply need to find where you can help, link arms with others, and start.
It is my hope that their stories—and the lessons we've learned along the way—will inspire and equip you to make a difference in your own family, schools, and community.
